How Sentry pricing works

Sentry has four plans. Developer is free. Team and Business have public prices. Enterprise uses custom pricing.

Each paid plan includes a set amount of errors, logs, spans, replays, and other products. If you go over a limit, you may buy reserved volume or use PAYG.

Sentry prices each product in a different way. An error does not cost the same as a span, replay, or gigabyte of logs. Prices can also change by plan and payment type.

Sentry may drop extra data after both your reserved volume and PAYG budget run out. A low bill can sometimes mean that Sentry did not accept all of your data.

What counts as Sentry usage

An error event is sent when an SDK catches a bug. Other products use different units:

  • Logs and Application Metrics use gigabytes.
  • Tracing uses spans.
  • Session Replay uses replay count.
  • Profiling uses profile hours.
  • Attachments use gigabytes.
  • Cron and uptime monitoring use active monitor count.

Your settings can also change usage. These include sampling, filtering, spike protection, retention, and SDK settings.

What this calculator covers

This tool uses the public Team and Business prices. It includes plan limits and public rates for:

  • errors, logs, Application Metrics, and spans;
  • Session Replay and attachments;
  • cron and uptime monitors;
  • Continuous Profiling and UI Profiling.

It does not include Enterprise prices, taxes, discounts, trials, credits, old plans, Seer, or Size Analysis overages. It also leaves out custom contracts, migration work, support deals, and staff time.

Sentry rounds its public unit prices. Your estimate and final invoice may differ by a few cents.

How we calculate costs and where prices come from

The calculator stores money as whole cents. Some Sentry prices are much smaller than one cent. We store those prices as small whole units before adding them. This helps avoid rounding errors.

Each price tier only applies to the usage in that tier. The calculator rounds each product cost to the nearest cent. It then adds the plan price.

We checked these official sources on July 21, 2026: Sentry pricing and calculator, Sentry pricing documentation, and Sentry quota documentation. The rates are saved in this website's code. The calculator does not look up prices while you use it.

Frequently asked questions

Does Sentry have a free plan?

Yes. The Developer plan is free for one user. It includes 5,000 errors per month and limits for other products. This tool calculates Team and Business because Sentry publishes extra usage prices for paid plans.

What counts as a Sentry error?

Sentry counts an error when an SDK sends an error event. Filters, sampling, repeated failures, environments, and SDK settings can change this number.

Why might the estimate differ from the final Sentry bill?

Sentry rounds its public rates, and your usage may change each month. This tool also leaves out taxes, discounts, credits, trials, old plans, and custom contracts. Use Sentry’s calculator and checkout terms for a final estimate.

Can this calculator estimate other Sentry products?

Yes. Open Advanced Sentry usage to add logs, Application Metrics, spans, Session Replay, attachments, monitors, and profile hours.

Does this calculator include Sentry Enterprise?

No. Sentry does not publish a standard Enterprise price. This calculator only estimates public Team and Business pricing.
