Updates while you sleep

New installations check for updates every day at 1:00 AM. When a new version is ready, Telebugs installs it and checks that everything came back up. Prefer another hour? Pick one.

admin@telebugs:~$ sudo telebugs auto-update set-hour 4
Auto-update hour set to 4:00 AM.

Telebugs will check for and install updates every day around 4:00 AM.

Are automatic updates already on?

Yes. A new Telebugs installation schedules them for 1:00 AM and tells you before setup finishes. If your server cannot schedule them, Telebugs says so instead of pretending.

Can I pick a quieter hour?

Of course. Move it to any hour on your server, or turn automatic updates off entirely. Either way, telebugs update is still there whenever you want to run it yourself.

What actually happens during an update?

First, Telebugs makes sure its updater is current. Then it downloads the new app version, restarts the container, and waits until the app is ready again. The restart means a brief interruption.

What if I want the old version back?

Telebugs keeps the app version it just replaced, so telebugs rollback can put that version back. Rollback does not rewind the database, so keep verified backups too.
